Hello, I am a first time poster and am quite concerned about the abrasion on my penis. It happend by using "lube" when masturbating but it was obviously just some cheap lotion so it didnt work very well. I was doing it quite often until i could feel the skin start to kinda burn off so I stopped doing it. I looked down and there was alot of skin removed, there was NO redness no blood or anything like that. It was simply the skin being removed. I never really let it heal, but I did notice it start healing in the week that I didnt self-pleasure. I tried to heal it again, this week actually, I havent beat the meat since monday, it's been around 2 weeks since i have gave the ol captain a tug. The skin looks a little better, and i Apply hydrocortisone 1% on the discolored area near the head (as doctor requested) But it does not seem to be going away.... Will this discoloration take 1-2 months to leave? Did I damage my penis forever? Is this something thats gonna take a long time to heal? Any tips? aside for lay off the wacking (which I am) , Is it safe to have sex with this abrasion (unprotected)?
Thnx

devinscotty,
Robrister has given you some great advice.
I agree that the skin will usually heal itself. But I not that you say you're using 1% hydrocortisone (as doctor requested). Does this mean you are under a doctor's care for this? If so, you should be asking HIM these questions. Or are you saying you're using hydrocortisone from some other application to treat this abrassion on your own?
No, you have not damaged your penis forever, though at times, it may seem to be taking forever to heal.
I agree you will want to wait on the sexual stimulation..... and certainly, don't have sex without a condom to protect yourself and your partner. (But i'd wait until this is all healed...)
Yes, you may have to wait two months to fully heal. But I'm more interested in finding out why your lube failed, or in what way it harmed you.
Was it water based or oil based? Were you using a device? A Sex toy? A merkin? Or just your hand? Waterbased lube almost always has to be reapplied as it dries out. Vasolene and similar oil-based lubes don't dry out as fast, but are tough on laytex and toys, and so are not recommended.
