a few months back, i would masturbate with soap, and even though sometimes it would hurt, i would continue until i ejaculated. now, i have totally stopped this process for i feel that it has injured my penis. i have developped these dark areas around the underside of the head of my penis and what seems to be an abrasion on the head of the penis itself. when i am errect, sometimes it looks as if the head of the penis is cracking and dry. can you please tell me if all these signs are from harsh masturbation using soap and if so, what can i do to heal myself and how long will it take?

wait it out.. stop the masturbating w/ soap!... i used to have it when i did it a lot, i used a mild epson salt solution (1/2 teaspoon) in cup and rinsed it and letting it dry naturally did the trick, takes about 2 weeks to heal, neosporin helps.. but the 2 minute soaks did more in releaving the hurt.

I have had the same problem for about 6 months. It still is red (I believe from the soap) and looks very red and dry especially when erect. I just thought it should have healed by now.
