My son is just 17. Devastating results. We are all worried sick about his entire emotional and phyiscal being and his future. If you have anything to tell me please do. Contact SHINE Lawyers they may start a class action.

My son took 2 doses of this as well and after a year he has opened up and asked to see his pediatrician. The only medicine he has ever taken is generic Accutane and I went right to the Internet. I am sick and terrified for him and feel like a horrible parent. They too thought it was in his head (assuming this was only an incident that happened with a female) his testosterone is normal for a 17 year old BUT he doesn't even wake in the morning with erections. I'm so thankful he has opened up to us about this but heartbroken and feel helpless. I can't imagine the emotions and shame he has been hiding and I too want to know who can be held accountable and what we can do to help these effected and save others from this

Hi there, my son is also 17 and opened up to me about this about 20 months ago. I have taken him to see 2 urologists, and endocrinologist and a neurologist as well as some psychotherapy as the docs think it's all in his head. Nothing to date has changed, except that he's on a low dose anti-depressant to see if it will help. We are devastated and are too very thankful that he opened up. It's not your fault ! Someone needs to do something to protect these kids!!! Keep me posted.

Hi guys,
I took isotretinoin for 4 months 20 mg a day, I have complete loss of libido, ED, complete anhedonia, numbness in the glans. Please communicate with me if you have found anything that helps.

I am exercising in order to make my T production increase but it doesnt seem to be working. Lets discuss what steps we can take.

Hi all,
Interested in following your thread here.
I’m 24 years old.
When I was 20 I was put on a course of Roaccutane, all the usual dry skin etc side effects but noticed reduced libido.
Mentioned it to the dermatologists at the end of my course but they tabooed it and put me onto the second course. Not long after onto that course I started my research into erectile dysfunction & roaccutane, when I read other’s stories I immediately stopped taking the drug and told my dermatologist the reason for this.
3 years later I’m probably back to 75% of what I used to be libido-wise, likely because I caught on in time!
This NEEDS to be included in the list of side effects to the drug (they worry about depression etc - but this is obviously why it causes despression!!)

There is a growing number of people reporting this horrible side effect of sexual dysfunction from accutane, we like to call it post accutane syndrome (PAS). We need to get organised and move to a forum or place dedicated to this issue. Once we gather sufficient numbers we can look at law suits, funding a study and finding a treatment. This is madness. I can't post links to a new forum but please join if you can. I have outlined several major theories, possible causes alongside potential treatments and things which have helped people.

It would be great if you could join and share your story etc.
