Hey chaps! How are you all? I understand that there are differences between genetic and acquired hemolytic anemia. I guess the differences must be in that one of them is genetic, and the other acquired somehow. Could you fill me in on how acquired hemolytic anemia is acquired exactly? Cheers!

Well, there are immune and non immune forms of acquired hemolytic anemia. Some types of this disease are drug induced, but mostly it is an autoimmune disorder. You know, where the body attacks its own cells, thinking they are a disease or virus that needs to be fought off. We don't know the causes of hemolytic anemia.
