I have been on Thyroid meds for about 3 months and a followup blood draw just showed that I was within the low normal range so I suppose I have that clinically under control. However the blood tests did reveal an extreme deficiency in Vitamin D. (12) It should be between 33.3-100 and optimally for me between 50-80. I am on 24 weeks of 50,000 IUs once a week.

I still have extreme fatigue, I mean waking from night of sleep, being so tired within a couple of hours I need to lay down again and finding I fall into a deep sleep and am easily out for 4 hours. There are days that I am tired again within three hours and can "nap again" for another couple hours and then got to bed!

I get night sweats, have gained about 5 lbs without eating any differently than I ever have. I cook from scratch and prefer to feed my family chicken and fish rather than red meats. We always have a vegetable and try to have fruits with every meal.

I am losing hair and have almost chronic diarrhea. Strange symptoms I know. I have very low resting blood pressure 80/60. A friend of mine suggested that I may have adrenal issues. Is this possible? My doctor does not routinely screen for this.

How do I get this tested without sounding like a hypochondriac? Does anyone have some of the same symptoms? Suggestions? Thanks!
