Any adults on Adderall XR out there?

I don't think I have ADD and I kept asking my doctor why I was taking it. She finally admitted she thought it might help with my major depression disorder. It did at first but lots of side effects that are rough. I start gaining weight when I stop taking it. Not a good idea to take this if you are not ADD.

How long did it take you to lose that weight?

Unfortunately there is no generic for straterra and I'm "forced" to take adderall because big pharma gives insurance big breaks... supposedly bc i still get it cheaper retail

I started taking Adderall XR In January of 2017 for ADDHD and focus issues. Weight loss and appetite loss is just some of the side effects from the medication. I know with any medication there are side effects and not everyone has the same side effects. I am down -21.

Hi my name is Angela and just got Diagnosed with severe ADHD and i always kbew my son had it and i would always jump back and forth in conversations and never fully focused and i decided to go get check by Dr. Corman in Seal Beach , whom is a Specialist on ADHD and wrote a book as well, anyway he tested me with a computer screen and when a box appeared on top of the screen i would half to push a button on a very little set type room.
So he diagnosed me with severe ADHD and i tried 3-4 different meds one each then wait fir an hour and then take that boring test, until he put me on Aderall and i was so much more focused and i hit the button quickly and not many mistakes and i actually enjoyed taking that boring test for once!
So 5 mg was too strong for me and how you know is your eyes feel heavy and tired first off and of course i felt just a tad to wired, ya no? So now im on my second month taking 5 mg XR splitting the capsule in have, taking 2.5 mg two times per day!
Okay ive gained 7 pounds in 2 weeks and im sleeping well, but i Never can figure out why i seem to be the onky person eating like a complete Pig on Adderall. At first i wasnt too hungrey but now im definitely making up for !
WHY AM I EATING SO MUCH ON ADDERALL???????
Can anyone tell me Please???
Am i not taking enough or what?
Does anyone have an over-eatting problem while taking Adderall or am i the only person out there this problem?

Im eating on Adderall XR 5 mg slit in half 2.5 a day!
I have gained 7 lbs in 2 weeks but at first i wasnt hungry much now i ove eatting all the time and im gaining weight quickly!!
Anyone ever have this problem?

You need to stop. How dare you tell people to stop taking their medication! How dare you tell them they don't need it! The people here aren't taking it to get high they're taking it to help with their ADD/ADHD. Just because you're a drug addict don't push that c**p onto everyone else. And no, addicts don't need religion to get clean. It takes willpower and self-discipline, religion tells you you're too weak to do it yourself and is counter-productive. You are not a doctor. You clearly have no real knowledge of medical science. You need to keep your medical "advice" to yourself.
