Did they ever find out if the epidural was the cause?

I had the epidural done over three years ago, three long years ago and I have back pain that is unbelievable!!! It's the epidural. I never had back pain before. Now I can't sit, stand or even lie flat on my back, heck even my stomach for long without having to be praying like I'm mad that the pain stops!

Have you done any research to support your claims? If so provide the evidence, otherwise all the people who are talking from experience have way more credibility. I had epidural 9 years ago and my pain is exactly has described by GesykaE85, a dibilitating and throbbing pain that gets worse with each second. It lasts about a minute thankfully, otherwise it would be difficult to contain such pain for longer.

My first daughter I had to get an epidural twice, the first time they didn't put it in the correct way, The day after I had my daughter I told my doctor that I had back pain she said it should go away in a few weeks. Its been 5 years, I STILL have terrible back pain. Keeps me up at night. If you can, which I couldn't, have normal Natural birth, do it. The epidural screwed me up big time.

It's a good choice at the time takes all the pain away but 5 years after having my son and going back to work the pain and aches in my back is unbearable. In my experience I would go through the labour pain as why would you want to be in pain for that many years after birth x

I am 34. I have a 10 yr old, 5yrs old and now a 9 math old. All deliveries vaginal with epidural. First 2 I had no complications. So after 12 of the 18 hrs I was in labor with my 3rd child I asked for the epidural ( out of pure exhaustion). The dr came in ( same dr I had with my second child) I knew the routine leaned over a tray table with a pillow and my DHE holding my hand. Dr went in with the needle lower on my spine hit something. I felt severe pain and passed out. When I came back to ( in a few secs with smelling salts) he was going in again above the first spot. I know 9 myths later have horrible pain from the first epidural sight down to my trombone and I can feel it is my spine. This pain has left me debilitated on the floor. My life has been miserable since because of the spine pain. My dr has taken Mri blood work and x ray sent me to PT pain medicine and steroids . Nothing has helped until I got what my family dr thought was a sinus infection and put me on antibiotic all sudden pain started to be bearable dr has had me on antibiotic for almost 2 weeks trying to figure out what is going on.

yes, I have experienced problems right after I had an epidural which was like 12 yrs ago . I am now experiencing it all over again and let me tell you, it's a scary feeling along with pain throughout to your back, arms and legs and head even. Feels like you're abut paralyzed with nerve pain.

Hi my baby is 6 months old when the surgeon gave me my epidural I had the most unbearable burning sensation in my neck when I told them they didn't listen after a few seconds it went off . I struggled to gain feeling back in my legs for many hours and since am experiencing dizziness and pain all the time ,headaches ,tripping and memory and confusion problems . My life has become an everyday battle I would recommend anyone to avoid epidural and this was my 3rd but my luck ran out has anyone else experienced this thanks

I am having the same problems as you. I don't know why I'm little concerned because I have had two previous epidurals and have had a little back pain but I have not felt the feeling that I am feeling this time. it is a pulling burning achy feeling in my back right at the injection spot. I also asked my doc he says it "PROBABLY" just a nerve. what ever it is they need to fix it. hopefully it is fixable.
