All an apicolordotic view is is an x-ray taken from an angle that captures the tops of the lungs. Think of it as you've taken a picture with your camera but now want to focus on another object in the frame.

It's nothing special.

Hi Guest,

There is something in the upper lung, the apex of the lungs.

The Apicolordotic view is an x-ray taken from an angle to better image that location. They want a better "look."

Everything else looks "normal."

Hi guest,
It's just an x-ray taken from a different angle. It focuses on the tops, the apex, of the lung.
Hope it helps.

Hi Hoseclamps,

Infiltrates are things that should not be there. Parenchymal refers to the functional parts of an organ, not the supporting structures. It could be ANY organ so I can't be specific here.

No infiltrates is normally a good thing.

You have a curve in your spine, to the right side (dextro). There is also a suspicious area on the upper right lung and they want the apicolordotic view, it's just another x-ray from a different angle focusing on the tops of the lungs, to help resolve what they see.

Good day sir/madam, my findings when i apply abroad in a clinic first attempt pneumonitis, i took 3 tablet of antibacterial for medication the second is residual fibrosis upper right lobe, the doctor unfit me with the work and country im assign for.. I go for a second oppion and heres the finding:
- there is no evidence of active paraenchymal infiltrates.
-cardiomediastinal silhoutte does not appear enlarged.
-Aorta, trachea, diagphragm and sinuses are unremarkable.
-included osseous structures and soft tissues are intact..
this x-ray is for Chest PA and abroad uses Chest apicolordotic view.. thus it has any implications of residual fibrosis upper right lobe with the result given by Chest PA?

Hi Guest,

The only difference between a chest PA and apicolordotic view is the angle at which the x-ray is taken. Often, the apicolordotic view is preferred as it focuses on the apex (the top) of the lungs.

I see no indication as to scarring (residual fibrosis) in the 2nd report.

The rest of your lungs, the heart, trachea, etc, all appear normal.
