My mother is going to move to an old peoples' home at the end of the month, and unfortunately her old golden retriever, who is 14 years old at the moment, cannot go with her. We, her family, are still considering what to do with the golden retriever, and I know that it would break my mum's heart if she went to the animal rescue centre. I am willing to take on the dog, but I would like to know in advance how long the dog is still likely to live. Can you tell me what the life expectancy for golden retrievers is?
