Thanks soooo much for the reply. If you don't mind me asking how did you deal with your hysterectomy? Did you have everything removed? And how are you now? Is sex horrible? Painful? Can you tell the diff? I'm sorry for all the questions just want to know what I'm in for.

Hi Cristtina: You don't have to start another topic, just put reply on the bottom of the link! I just had an inckling that this message was for me!!!! ;-) XD

Actually I HAD to have a hysterectomy due to PAINFUL periods! I was in so much pain I had to take morphine!! And I could not stand up straight!!! The doctor said that the veins around my uterus were so engourged they were the size of a mans thumb - when they should be the size of a hair!

Actually I was DEVESTATED at having a hysterctomy, I have 2 children and wanted to have 7! BUT that wasn't to be! So it took awhile for me to wrap my head around it! I was even crying when they rolled me into the operating theatre. But now it's the best thing I ever did!! No more pain - except for the occaisional phantom pain - weird - I have a little bit of menopause happening but NOTHING like my girlfriends - I am 45 now! So I am glad about that! They left my ovaries, because I was so young and that my mom had cancer 5 times!

I didn't have problems with sex - as my ovaries are still there, which produce the sex hormone Progesterone! Sex - since my children - was excruciating LONG story, so in the last couple of years no problem!!

To tell you the truth, I just took it easy for the 6 weeks after and my biggest problem was when they dislocated my hip!!!! Another long story! But I have suggested it to several of my girlfriends who have been suffering! To me the question is "Why not?!" It makes sense, if you are having problems and hurting and you don't need it!!

So if your mind is set on this go for it honey!!! NO MORE PAIN!!! If you have any other questions jsut ask away!!!

Yeah sorry about that i was at cvs and was so thristy to ask you questions i couldnt wait until i got home so i used my blackberry. I have been crying on and off i am so devastated i just dont know what to expect after i'm a verrrry sexual person i have multiple orgasms and get verrrry wet (i know too much info) im afraid that will cease and the fact that i didnt have anymore kids (even though i said i didnt want anymore) is bothering me. You asked in the first reply if i had unprotected sex in the last 2 or 3 months and the answer is yes but no im not pregnant and dont have any std's. The tech today told me that the dr did read the results and thats why she said he would call my dr. Do you know if there's anything they can give me for the chunky mess thats coming out of me or will i have to wait until surgery. :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

Hi Cristtina! Did I put that link on about Endo? It actually shows the "fleshy periods" is one of the reasons! IT's hard I know, BUT once it's over and you have recovered I tell you it's like night and day! I have no problems with orgasms etc. And as long as they leave even a little bit of an ovary you will be fine with that OK? Even my friend who was 50 when she had a hysterctomy was upset about not having anymore kids!!!! Even though there was NO way she was going to of course, it's just the thought of it being over isn't it?! But to tell you the truth I feel MORE like a woman after than I did before! Because I was ALWAYS in pain and couldn't handle being a mess! And I know it's easier for me to say it to you than you going through it, but AFTER it is truly like a light has gone on in your life! There is no more pain, no more excessive bleeding or chance of anemia etc. You become this different woman! 2lbs lighter ;-) XD Just incase I didn't put the link - I am blonde after all ;-) - here it is again! Take a look see what you think!
