i have a couple of questions:
I am thinking of going on birth control but i have a few issues i'm stressing about:

1- Does it really make you gain weight?I ve asked many friends their opinons and they all say something else. I don't want to deal with weight changes.. Is there a certain bc that you would recommend that doesn't f**k with your system that badly?

2- Do any girls out there know if it's possible to get bc from planned parenthood/is it very expensive? I can't get it from a gyno because i live with my parents and my mom would never approve of me going on it and would never pay for it. If it's really expensive at planned parenthood i probably can't go on it because i don't have a lot of money, but it also is worth it. It 's just that i can't ask my parents for money towards this, so i' m hoping it's not too expensive.

3- How long does bc take to be effective? Like say i went on it this month, when would i expect to be safe having sex?

thanks a lot

It can, but generally the pill doesn't. It just messes with you and at times you might eat more than normal. Stuff like that. Your breasts should get a bit bigger though.

It should be relatively cheap or free from PP.

It depends on the pill and when you start it, but generally you are protected after the first week of taking it.
