I have just been told that I have angina, and the doctor and I are looking at treatment plans including medication. I know there are a few different drugs that are popular for angina, and my doctor did mention a particular drug. I won't name the drug he proposed yet. First I want to know what you all think is the best drug for angina. Thank you for your input, I can assure you I will be putting it to good use!

I have angina and am taking beta-blockers that slow the heart and lowers the blood pressure as well. I know that many people also take nitrates for their angina, and calcium channel blockers are frequently used for angina too. I am not sure which ones are better - I think you should find a doctor you trust and then trust his judgement about medication as well.
