I`ve been taking birth control pills for about 4 years, but recently i quit taking them, because my sister told me that they can sometimes cause cervical dysplasia. I’m afraid that something gone bad. Please tell me something about dysplasia.

Birth control pills contain estrogen and progestin, which could sometimes cause changes on you organs. Changes on cervix cells are cervical dysplasia. They can sometimes happen if you have infection. They can also occur after traumatic sex. Sometimes cervical dysplasia leads to cervical cancer. Synthetic estrogen is believed to cause cervical dysplasia. You could always try another birth control methods.

after i had my daughter i started using birth control later my doctor told me i had pre cervical cancer cells. my friend had told me that she stopped taking her birth control and the cervical cancer cells went away. since ive stopped using birth control my pre cancer cells have not came back!
