Birth Control, Someone Help :)

Me and my boyfriend have been dating for a year and just recently I've started using Portia Birth Control.

I've looked everywhere for an answer but I havent gotten any, How long do I have to be on the pill before I can have unprotected sex and for him to ejaculate in me? I dont want any unplanned pregnancy.

I've gone through 1 pack of the 28 pills and I'm on the first week of my second pack, How long should I wait?I also started the pill on the first Sunday when I was on my period, if thats any help.

Please help me out, I dont want to get scared and I dont want my boyfriend to be worried about me getting pregnant from the pill not working 100%.
