After searching the internet for all potential cause for the bitter, medicinal, almost metal like taste in my mouth I fortunately found the link to pine nuts and this horrible taste. I have purchased pine nuts before from a local health food store but for the 1st time bought them at TRADER JOE'S. My daughter and I searched diligently for the what we had in common eaten and the only thing was the pine nuts I had sprinkled on top of the our green beans. I, unfortunately, ate more pine nuts during the week. The Trader Joe's package states that the product may come from one or more sources: Korea Russia, or Vietnam. Seems like several entries purchased product from Trader Joe's. I am meeting with the manager of Trader Joe's on Friday and hope that the info will help them find the supplier that is submitting non food grade pine nuts or several of the other possible causes like rancid oils.
Special thanks to all of you who took the time to enter your data... we wouldn't have figured it out without your help.

How about those of us who've not eaten pine nuts? Any ideas on the cause of the bitter, acidy, acrid, metallic taste? I can initially enjoy the food or drink I'm having, but then the taste comes back 24/7. I know the diagnosis is called "Dysgoosia" and I've gone through the list of possibilies (except one "infection") listed as the cause, none of them ring true. I'll be calling my doctor to schedule an appt. However, she just gave me a clean bill of health. I'd appreciate any suggestions.
