Hello. I'm 25 year old female and just recently, on some routine gynecological checkup I have been diagnosed with some precancerous condition called cervical dysplasia.
Doctor told me that probably best thing should be to do an operation called LEEP procedure. So, I've agreed!
I've had the procedure done about five days ago and doctor told me that the operation went really well. But one thing confuses me and frightens me a bit- it’s some blackish discharge I've noticed yesterday. IS this normal thing or something that I should be worried about?
Please help me top understand these things!

I don’t think there is anything you should be worried about.
I believe I've read that it is completely normal thing to experience a bit blackish discharge after this operation called LEEP procedure.
You will have a blackish discharge while healing.
I don’t know how much do you know about this but, during the operation, big amount of tissue is being literally burned with some hot electrical wire.
That’s why- the discharge has this black color.
Not only that- you could also expect foul-smelling discharge and possible bacterial super infections!
Don’t you worry about it- it will all go away in few days!
