Hello! I’m 32 and my colpo test showed that I have CIN3 which is severe cervical dysplasia I guess. Anyway I’m supposed to have leep procedure next week but since I was planning on pregnancy in near future I’d like to hear some more about leep and of leep procedure side effects. Thanks.

As you probably already know it having CIN doesn’t means you have cancer it’s just a precancerous condition that if treated on time reduces risks of having a cervical cancer one day. And at this point leep procedure comes in helping reducing those chances of getting cervical cancer. In fact this is a procedure that removes abnormal tissue and it is very precise and effective. You don’t have to worry over pregnancy there’re no side effects in that sense for there hasn’t been noticed any case in which leep procedure had caused infertility or pregnancy loss. You just need to avoid sex and tampons for about 5 weeks after leep. And some researches show that labour after leep may be somewhat easier and faster than it usually is.
