A sharpie as I'm sure your aware is somewhat pointed on one end. The tissues and membranes in and around the anus are extremely sensitive. It is possible you either scratched the inside or punctured something. It really all depends on how much blood and pain your talking about. The discomfort in your abdomen concerns me some on this issue, as that is indicitive of a puncture or injury. It was just really blood after removing the sharpie. There was no extensive bleeding, and it was red. There was not a large amount of blood, and there hasn't been any since the actual event. A bit of an uncomfortable feeling in my abdomen. My primary concern is that it may get infected.

The nice thing about infection is that it always comes with symptoms. If you begin to have fever, weight loss, loss of appetite, more bleeding, change in bowel habits ( diarrhea ect ) redness around the outside of the anus that is unusual or increasingly tender/painful then infection could be possible.
