Burning while going pee and staying afterwards;

Okay so this has been going on for awhile now, and lately it's been really bad. Every time I go pee I have a horrible burning sensation, and then it stays for hours after. At first I thought it might be a std, but then figured out it wasn't because I am sexually active with my partner and we don't always use a condom. He would have the same problem as me. I also looked up the effects of a bladder infection and they don't really match, though I could just have different ones.

Help would be much appreciated.
