Hi! My mom is in the hospital X2 days now. She has horrible diarreha and is severly dehydrated. I am worried because she just had a double bypass and a mechanical valve replacement 6 weeks ago. She was in cardiac rehab when her temp spiked to 102 + degrees and was sent back to the hospital. She has been given an NG tube and is currently on broad spectrum antibiotics for possible c diff. Her tests have noe shown negative for C diff, what else could it be? She is also currently being given ativan to keep her semi sedated as she is very confused and combative.
