Hi, I’ve been diagnosed with ovarian cancer two years ago and after the surgery and adjuvant chemo things seed to go well enough. On my regular checkups I always had CA-125 measured and I was always told its normal for me to be a little higher, but it worries me a lot that every time I had it measured, the values only get higher and higher. I have scheduled appointment with my oncologist because last levels were too high, but I don’t know if it’s a truth or was the nurse just trying to comfort me, but she said there are other, completely cancer unrelated things that can elevate CA-125, like endometriosis (I have family history of both endometriosis and breast cancer). So I’m not really sure is there a value for this marker that separates ovarian cancer from these benign conditions, or will it all come down to my ovarian cancer returning?
