I have stated with azulfidine two weeks ago. I was prescribed with this medication because of psoriatic arthritis that I was diagnosed with a month ago. I generally feel well; only have joint pain and stiffness. I am interested in if it would be safe for me to take alcohol while am on azulfidine? As I have to take this medication for at least next 6 weeks I wonder if I can mix it with alcohol. Thanks.

There is note that alcohol should be used with precautions while on therapy with azulfidine. Although it would be better not to mix it. Azulfidine increases intoxicating effects of alcohol. I was on azulfidine because of ulcerative colitis, and it made me dizzy so I avoided alcohol at all during the therapy.
