Hi
I have been on 10mg a day of cipralex for 6 days now. I don't like it. I want to stop it and I can't get in to see the dr. before next week.
This is the first time I have been on any meds for anxiety. I actually don't think that I need it after reading up on the internet about anxiety. I am also on BP meds. Adalat.
Question is ....can I just not take anymore Cirpralex starting today? Will it do any harm? will I have any side effects? I really would like to get some good sleep..more than 1 hour at a time thru the night. I have been taking it because of dizziness that dr. thinks is anxiety.
I just want to start over. Please advise. Thanks in advance

Hi newstry, I hope that you have not decided to stop taking this wouthout hearing back fromw hat people posted on the thread! I don't think that it's a good idea to quit an antidepressant without consulting a medical professional first. Even though you've only taken it for a week, it can still have an impact on you. Do you think that you can talk to your doctor about it first? Have oyu already done that?

listen up mate.....anti depressants should start working after 4 weeks or sometimes 8 weeks , it depends the individual...You had to give it a try , not just stoping it after just 6 days !!!.....Always talk to your doctor about how you are feeling and when to stop or change medication. Take care

Gil
