you are exactly correct virendra. I too stopped growing in height by 16..At that time i was around 170cm...By 20 i was just 172 cm..But when i again measured my height by 29 it has reached to 175 cms....Now i am 35..my height is 178 cms..So i cant understand at what age will you stop growing.I feel this depends on the individual but there is no any rule of thumb that you will stop growing by early 20s or late teen years.

"Twenty Five laps around the pond will make us tall and thin and blond"

I started running 2 years ago and gained 3 inches at the age of 20.
I started with 3 kms A day. Now I am a marathon runner. I am proud of myself and my determination.

Running has nothing to do with your height growth at any age, during the teenage years (puberty) your body will go through several different growth spurts all perfectly naturally and that's what makes you grow taller not running, exercises or any other kind of thing mentioned.
If running made people grow taller then youngster's that do amateur track events regular would have unrestricted height growth wouldn't they, your height is determined in your DNA and can go back several generation's such as your parents maybe small but your grandparents were tall like you or vise versa, just use a bit of common sense and stop taking notice of the rubbish posts!

Technically, running will not directly make your height grow, but it will contribute to some factors that increase your height. If you want to run basically to simply get taller, you might be disappointed. You will end up adding only 3 inches or so to your normal height.

Ok so explain exactly how running will increase height because if that was true then why is it that a lot of professional athletes are short that run?
