Hello,
I need advice! I think I have a yeast infection. I have been to the gyn, but it prescribed me antifungal drugs to destroy the infection. But I think I am on wrong medication! I think Candida Albicans overgrown and infected my vagina. I am these antibiotics that for two weeks and no obvious change occurred. I have the following symptoms: large amount of white, cheesy discharge and intense itching and burning.
Is it possible that I have yeast infection? I read somewhere that this is possible if Candida Albicans overgrows it normal it can be fatal for a person.

Hey,
I see you are quite familiar with the existence of Candida Albican in everyone’s body. Candida albicana could be fatal but only if not early discovered.
Yes, it is possible that you have yeast considering the symptoms you have described. However, you must contact your gyn as soon as possible, since wrong diagnosis and consequently wrong medicine (antifungal drugs) might encourage yeast growth. The same is with birth control pills, pregnancy, diabetes, aids, and cortisone-like drugs, food high in sugar and low in fiber, and as I said antibiotics. Antibiotics are the biggest instigators of Candida albican, since they kill good and bad bacteria and Candida albican is very resilient to antibiotics. That is why you must immediately talk to your gyn and explain the problem.
Candida albican can be passed with sexual intercourse, you know that, right?
There are special diets that can interrupt the growth of candida albican. You should avoid foods taht contain yeast (yeast breads, all kinds of alcohol, moldy cheeses, sugar and refined carbohydrates, artificial sweeteners.
Eat garlic, as much as possible, acidophilus. drink pau d' Acro tea, … But doctor will give you more accurate advices on interrupting the growth of candida albican, if that is necessary.
I must also say that antifungal antibiotics usually don't work in 2 week period. Treatment of fungus related disease is taking time more than one month.
Good luck!
