Hi, there. Catatonic disorders are characteristic for a form of schizophrenia called catatonic schizophrenia. It is characterized by motor disturbances. This disorder has psychological basis. These patients can make very weird positions that a regular person cannot do that. It is also known as cereous flaccidity. They take a pose and seem like they don’t react to external appeals. I hope this helps. Good luck to your friend. Bye!
