Hello, my friends. My friends’ baby has been diagnosed with congenital ear disorder. I know that these are malformations that are present at birth. I would like to know how these disorders affect speaking. Can someone tell me something more about this? Thank you in advance for all your help considering this post.

Hello. You are right. Congenital ear disorders are the ones that a baby is born with. There can be abnormalities of outer ear, middle ear or inner ear. I guess that external ear disorders do not affect speaking abilities. Middle and inner ear abnormalities are maybe more dangerous. Luckily, inner ear abnormalities are less common, so I doubt your friends’ baby has it. I hope, whatever it is, all will be managed. Good luck to her. Bye!
