Hi. I was reading something about celiac disease and hypoglycemia. My brother was diagnosed with celiac disease. He said he also has low blood sugar. I think I may have celiac disease or low blood sugar too. What are symptoms of celiac disease and hypoglycemia?

Hi. Celiac disease is a genetic digestive disease. So, it is possible you suffer from celiac disease too. Symptoms of celiac disease include gases, abdominal pain, chronic diarrhea, fatty stool, changes in weight, fatigue, anemia and joint pain. Signs of celiac disease also include seizures, muscle cramps, delayed growth, tooth discoloration, itchy skin rash, pale sores inside your mouth and infertility. Some people with celiac disease have no symptoms at all. Symptoms of hypoglycemia include hunger, shakiness, dizziness, difficulty speaking, confusion, anxiety and weakness. I suffer from celiac disease too. I cannot tolerate gluten. I have low blood sugar so I have to be very careful of what I eat.

I just checked online and this is what I was able to find.
There is limited research on the relationship between celiac disease and blood sugar levels, and more studies are needed to fully understand this connection. However, some studies have suggested that individuals with celiac disease may be at a higher risk of developing low blood sugar levels (hypoglycemia).
One study published in the Journal of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition found that children with celiac disease were more likely to experience hypoglycemia during a glucose tolerance test compared to children without celiac disease. Another study published in the Journal of Clinical Gastroenterology found that some individuals with celiac disease who had been following a gluten-free diet for a long time may be at risk for hypoglycemia due to low glycogen stores in the liver.
It is also possible that there may be a link between low blood sugar levels and the symptoms of celiac disease, as some of the symptoms of hypoglycemia, such as dizziness, confusion, and fatigue, can be similar to the symptoms of celiac disease.
However, it's important to note that there are many factors that can contribute to low blood sugar levels, and having celiac disease is just one possible factor. Other factors that can cause low blood sugar levels include medications, excessive alcohol consumption, certain medical conditions such as insulinoma or adrenal insufficiency, and certain hormonal imbalances.

I was diagnosed with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF) four years ago. For over two years, I relied on prescribed medications and treatments, but unfortunately, my condition continued to worsen. My breathing became more difficult, fatigue increased, and even simple activities started to leave me exhausted.Last year, out of desperation and hope, I decided to try a herbal treatment program from NaturePath Herbal Clinic. Honestly, I was skeptical at first, but within a few months of starting the treatment, I began to notice real changes. My breathing improved, my energy levels increased, and I was able to do more without feeling constantly short of breath. It’s been a life-changing experience I feel more like myself again, better than I’ve felt in years. If you or a loved one is struggling with IPF, I truly recommend looking into their natural approach. You can visit their website at www.naturepathherbalclinic.com
