cervical C 6-7 fusion recovery

Cindy, You have made me curious, have your regained your voice? I had neck surgery 1 month ago and my voice has not returned to normal yet and I am a singer too. It doesn't help when the Dr. told me normally the voice returns in 2-3 days after surgery. Some of the family say my voice is getting better but I have lots of flim and mucous in there. My surgery was between C7 & T1, so I never had to wear a neck brace. Eating has been ok from right after surgery but have lots of numbness in my 2 fingers and hand yet. We wonder if it is because I had to wait almost 6 weeks after waking up in the morning with intense pain before I could get into surgery.... I have been going in for Laser treatments and had a Chiroprator adjust my mid back where I had lots of tightness, been using heat too. That is almost gone completely. Still continuing with laser in my hand, back, and neck and they are doing the laser in the voice box area too!! We're just hoping and praying for it to straighten out. It takes Faith and patience! I had my neck surgery Dec 2, 2015..it is now Mar 2016. I can not talk above a whisper. .my neck is in constant pain..I have had pt, worked ok while going. I have burning pain now which I did not have before. If I had known this would happen I would not have gone thru with surgery. But everyone is different.
