I’m not sure if I did but I was eating some chicken and found a small chicken bone in it. I don’t know if I swallowed, but I am scared a little that it can damage my intestines. I was wondering if I should go to the hospital or anything like that. Will I digest chicken bone?

I suppose As long as you actually swallowed it, and it’s not stuck in your throat, you're fine. Its just like swallowing something plastic like I’m sure we have all done once when we were little. These things don't digest either; they just come out when you have a bowel movement. So, I’m sure that is what will happen to the bone.

Hi,
I am not really sure that you could swallow something like that and not feel it. I think you are able to feel it in your throat at least, if not in your mouth. In my opinion you are safe. However our body can’t digest bones so even if you swallowed did you can’t notice it until you pass it through your bowel movement. If you swallowed it you will have to notice some pain in your stomach or your gallbladder will be upset. If you decide to go to doctor he can do a scan but sometimes bones this small might go unnoticed. I think you should just relax for few days, pay good attention what you eat and drink a lot of fluids.

Right! That's what our appendix is for. And why not everyone needs it anymore, and though evolutionary unnecessary, we can digest small bones
