As your cholesterol is out of balance due to some inner disorder, perhaps you will have tae medicines for the rest of your life to keep cholesterol level under control. If you are not taking in too much fat, than the liver must be increasingly producing it. You can take statins, drugs which inhibit synthesis of cholesterol, or bile acid sequesterants, which bind cholesterol produced by the liver and by blocking the digestion of fats they prevent the formation of cholesterol. You will find i consultation with your doctor which drug suits you best, and produces the least side effects.
