Hi there, I’m a 28 year old who has chronic testicular pain/unbearable sensations in my right testicle. This has been going on for a long time and seems to be getting worse over time. It is always in the right testicle and it literally never leaves, some times it lets up to a more bearable level for a few days then gets unbearable again. Its hard to explain but sometimes its a deep pain and other times it kinda feels like I’m getting constantly being electrocuted or something, its a deep piercing sensation.
I have tried many medications such as antibiotics, lyrica, gabapentin, cymbalta, ativan and tramadol and more. Some days the ativan and tramadol help but when its really bad nothing helps. They have tried a nerve block by injecting something in my right side to numb the spermatic cord or something but it did nothing. I had two ultrasounds which also showed nothing, blood tests, everything came back normal. It does not hurt when I touch it or when I pee or anything like that. There is no swelling or anything either.
Its so bad I am literally contemplating ending my life because I cannot handle living with this anymore :( It has nothing to do with depression or anything it is because of physical agony. I was thinking getting an orchiectcomy as a last resort option. I mean if they remove the testicle how can I still feel the pain if the nerves or whatever is causing it is no longer there right? I am seeing a new urologist soon. If I tell him I want an orchiectomy, would he agree to do it? I live in Canada if he doesn’t do it I would go to the USA and pay for it done, I’m that desperate.
I would like anybody’s input if they think removing the testicle would be an option. Is there a chance they remove it and I will still feel the pain? Think about it, no 28 year old guy would be willing to have his testicle removed unless it was extremely bad. Thanks so much for any feedback.
