My husband has a condition of some sort that causes his right side of his scrotum sack. It seems he is always scratching or rubbing the area, he wont allow me to look. In the mean time no sex now for a year as I am afraid it may be STD. recently we had to toss 2 pair of good pants due to the holes he made from scratching and rubbing the area through his pants. He does this at night in his sleep and even out in public to the point our 11 year old is asking him to stop what appears to us as he is playing with himself. We are given looks of disgust and I am one of those giving the look it is embarassing for his family and his work. Like I said 2 perfectly fine pants except the little holes made rubbing his scrotum between his thumb and index finger. Other than those holes the pants still have another good year of use in them. He scratches at his scrotum in his sleep, on the phone or without help I dont know how much longer his scratching I can cope with. I have to tell him in public when he is doing it and how it embarasses the rest of us. It reminds me of an infant finding out they have a penis, my husband is 51, is this a habit needing broke or a true medical condition? What doctor should we ask for him to be referred to by his primary M.D.?
