Chronic Pain and GI issues after Tummy Tuck

Has anyone had chronic pain, distended abdomen, GERD after Tummy Tuck?

I was a petite girl that got talked into having a Full Tummy Tuck. Immediately after I knew something was wrong and I was sewn up way too tight. The pain was immense and now 5 months later I am still in excruciating pain, have swelling in the muscles that gets bigger and bigger each day, I look pregnant. My belly is rock hard and distended and I have developed digestive issues and GERD that I never had before the surgery. I am actually so scared for my life and went from vivacious and successful and independent to stuck on the couch on numerous medications. I only wish to find a solution or way to function like this. It seems like everything that could be wrong is. Has anyone had any of these issues and found solutions or relief?

Just saw this. I have been dealing with similar since my TT 2013. I recently discovered the stitches in my muscles are permanent, not self-dissolving.. I am on the hunt to get them removed and now am constrained to finding a group with an MD anesthesiologist because an anesthetist nurse won't take my case. Due to the GERD which was minimal prior to TT, it is now bad enough I have to have general anesthesia. Now in my 60's at 5'6" and 140# I wouldn't classify myself as petite but I have always been slight, no weight fluctuations and no pregnancies. I got TT due to increasing waviness in lower belly from lipo in 1980's (for genetic "pot belly"). The extreme persisting tightness is because I don't think the surgeon had enough excess flesh to work with.

Hello… it’s been 2.5 years for me and it’s been horrible. My stomach swells through out the day where I never had issues before … in the am it’s better… but as the day progresses it gets worse and when I eat it feels like my food just sits there. I wish I never would have had this procedure. I traded a cosmetic issue for uncomfortable pain everyday.
