I had an reversal colostomy in June 2013. Now sometimes when I am not having regular bowel movements, it feels like I can feel my intestine at the bottom of my abdomen with my hand, and it feels hard. Anyone know why? Is it normal?

Hello, shellywilkins.  What have your stools been like up to the time you started having irregular bowel movements?  Have your stools been getting harder in the last week or so?  I tend to wonder if you are very constipated, and you have some hard stool in your intestine that is making it difficult for you to pass it.  You may want to buy some stool softener at the pharmacy and take that 3 times a day and see if that helps.  You can also take a glycerin suppository to ease the passage of stool.  Let me know how it goes!
