I'm afraid of even using condoms while having sex. As its slippery all the time.. My partner continuously asks whether it is sperm or not. It scares the hell out of me. Condom are usually very good contraceptive method isn't it?

Yes. Used properly condoms are VERY effective. You need to put it on before there is any sexual contact and never reuse one. If you put it on backwards, throw it away and put on a new one.
