Hi, I am 47 years old male and I am coughing very badly for last two months. I have visited my doctor last month and he prescribed my some pills which would stop my cough but nothing really happen. I quit smoking several years ago and till now I never had problems with coughing. I hope someone had similar experience.

Hi, every coughing which lasts more than a month would be examined properly. You would make chest x-ray to see if there is something on your lungs. Also you would take you your sputum on analysis to eliminate some diseases like tuberculosis for example. I suggest you to visit your doctor again and tell him how long it lasts so he would know what further analyses to do.
