if i mis disagnosed what i thought might be thrush, and started using canestone duo table and cream, if it's not thrush could doing this have made the infection worse, i know reckon that with further looking into it it could be a fungueal infection, coz it does seem to be growing in high numbers daily, i'm going to see the docs of tuesday, obviously today is fri, could this get serious in 2-3days,

Canesten oral capsule contains the active ingredient fluconazole and Canesten thrush cream contains the active ingredient clotrimazole. Both these are antifungal medicines used to treat infections with fungi and yeasts. If you have a fungal of yeast infection, the medication may be able to diminish the problem. If you misdiagnosed, you haven't caused any lasting serious harm by using the Canesten. But by all means, see your doctor.

If you don't have the right medication, there is a possibility that you could make it worse. It could get worse from not being treated properly. The meds that would be used to treat fungus would be different from the meds used to treat bacterias. See a medical profession so that you can get rid of the problem once and for all.

While a misdiagnosis is certainly possible (it is the patient after all who is diagnosing himself), using an anti-bacterial cream instead of an anti-fungal cream (or visa verse) is not going to cause any problems other than NOT stopping the progress of the infection. In fact, using an anti-bacterial could actually be BENIFICIAL in that it could stop secondary infections CAUSED by bacteria. Conversely, though less likely, an anti-fungal could prevent fungus in an bacterial infection.

Ooook, but take my previous advise, please. I really hope you'll let me know how it goes. Also, be sure to use safety practices that might keep others from being infected, just in case whatever's going on is contagious. That's really important. How long have you had your symptoms? Usually, if you don't see any improvement in a couple of days, the treatment may not be working.

right, just got back from the quacks, it's a bit of a relief, wasn't bad as i first thought, it's not thrush, i've gotta for a blood test to make sure, hes 99% sure that it's not gential herpes but betta be safe that sorry, he reckons thats it's a heat rash of some sort, he's prescribed 1x150mg of fluconazole hopefully clears it up once and for all.

Now use the meds as directed so that you can be totally free of this and move on. Wait for the test results before intimacy with someone. I'm so glad that your news was good. thanks yeah was a big relief, will be more happy when i get my blood test done and the results come back 100% clear, i will be over the moon, i think my imagnation had run away with me, thinking the worse, gonna drop the perscription in 2moz morn, yeah am gonna wait for results, i will return and hopefully help with anybody else problems, just fingers crossed they wont be mine, lol,
