well, my girlfriend lives in another state. this christmas season she came to visit me. we hadn't done anything for the whole time because she had her period. the night it was over, we decided to have sex, but i didn't feel right about it because it was unprotected. all i did was put it in, directly after that i took it out and just settled for something else. she left the next day and told me that after about a day or two, she started to bleed lighty. eventually it turned into a full period. she is however on the birth control patch. i honestly don't know whats going on, but its been about a week and it has continued. can someone help me?

1st honey she is NOT pregnant! 2nd it TOTALLY depends on how long she has been on the patch! Do you know how long?

I have the SLIGHTEST worry about you guys having unprotected sex before a full month of her being protected had occured BUT it was so close, I dont think its a worry! I will just let you both know that having several periods right away is VERY Common when you start BC! It can take upto 3 months for your body to become used to the increase of hormones! So tell her she should notice a big difference next month OK? Good luck and health to both of you!

ok thank you soo much, i feel a lot more relieved. a baby is a beautiful thing, but im just not at that age to accept the full responsibility. of course she is still going to want to get tested anyways, but it helps to know important information like this. she was also very very worried and we were stressing soo much, anyways thank you very much. =)

She's fine honey honestly! Also I will tell you what I have told my sons, ALWAYS use a condom - regardless if your girlfriend is on the pill or not! This will take care of ANY "What ifs!" Ok?! Good luck and health to both of you!

Don't wait till Tuesday, even though several periods are common when you go on a new BC she should NOT be having such adverse reacions to it! So have her either phone the doctors and tell them that she is fainting and throwing up, OR go to the ER! If she looks up her BC, she will see the adverse effects and the ones that are common and the ones that need to be dealt with right away! Let me know OK? good luck to her!
