Hi, I'm Cyndie. I just had another Craniotomy in July,2011. I almost lost my life! I had a seizure and a stroke on the operating table! My doc also cut a main artery and had to give me 27 pints of blood. They did two spinal taps on me while I was on the table as well. On the second day my pupils did not respond to the light so, he had to go back in and remove a blood clot the size of a walnut and also remove part of my cerebelum so now my equilibrium is messed up too! All he says though is it is either Temporary or Permanent-whatever that means! The Nurses have told my mother that my numbness and all is surgery related and for us to be patient! But my facial nerves were messed up, my lip messed up due to my stroke I guess, and all of my right side is messed up! I have numbness from my fingertips all the way to my shoulder and it kills me with pain! He said it was going to be more complex than last years Craniotomy but DANG I WASN'T PREPARED TO ALMOST LOSE MY LIFE! Is this gonna get better or worse?
