I am after some data about crohn’s disease. I was reading up on the symptoms yesterday, and I gathered that anemia is one of the possible complications of crohn’s disease. So can you tell me how many patients with crohn’s disease actually end up with anemia? And how can this be prevented? Is this due to crohn’s preventing someone from absorbing iron properl?

Some people with crohn's disease get anemia. This can be due to intestinal bleeding, something that many patients with crohn's disease suffer from, and bloody stools that are responsible for low iron levels. I don't know how common this is exactly, but I do know that it is only a minority of people who have crohn's disease that suffer from anemia.
