I have been taking lutera birth control for a 9 days now, yesterday i
took my pill 4 hours late and after that i had protected sex with my
boyfriend, he also pulled out so i'm sure he didn't finish in me. this
morning when i went to the bathroom i had this really thick and dark
gooey brown discharge and i was wondering if that had something to do
with taking the pill late? or what could it be? i've gotten this once
before but i wasn't on the pill then.. is it just a normal thing?

and if your not it could be an infection from the birhcontrol your not used to it YET, the same thing happend to me i was 12 and on the pill to control my period, you just have to try a couple different birth controls before you can find the right one, im on tri-cylin works great only down side if you do stop it you will get like 2 pimples , thats it when i was on yaz i found this happen to me so ladies dont get your panties in a bunch your fine might be the sudden change from the birth control or that birth control is not working for you anymore. Hi, this is completely normal. It's to do with the mucus in the cervix and upper vagina becoming thicker to prevent sperm reaching an egg (a result of the implant) this causes menstrual loss to not flow through as easily, and although some people stop getting regular bleeding every month, some bleeding may occur, and because of the small quantity, it Is staying in the genital tract for longer, this is why it is brown.
