Does it make sense to any medical professional that a psychiatrist would declare an 82 year old woman "chronic dementia" when she has been on morphine for 8 straight days to lessen the pain of an automobile accident.  The woman lived alone was lucid in conversation up until the hospital stay, drove her car and was involved in an accident, her fault, and jammed her knee requiring an operation. On the ninth day after the accident, and her first day off of morphine, she was diagnosed with "chronic dementia."
