Recently took a 5 panel at home drug test ( i have one coming up for a job and just wanted to make sure there was no trace of any thc (I'd unknowingly eaten a "cookie" at a party and once I relized it was a funny cookie, I freaked out). So, I take the at home test and everything comes up negative BUT, it shows positive for benzodiapines and I was like what the heck is that? So I went online and googled it (I had no idea what it was) and it said they were stuff like anxiety pills etc...xanax fell in there along with ohter medications I DON'T take...but then I strated thinking...I do take Zoloft for Depression and have been on it for a while...so I researched it and it turns out Zoloft can cause a "positive" reading for the benzodiazopine stuff. I'm worried the potential new employer is going to think I'm on drugs...which I'm not other than a long term prescription for Zoloft. Anyone have any expereince with this? I mean, I'll take them a copy of my prescription...but is there a way for them to confirm that the there is nothing else in my system other than Zoloft? I'm kinda worried about this and am thinking, do I go off my meds? Not a good idea but this is nuts. I was shocked when I saw that becaause I had no idea...any advice is appreciated.
