Hello there first time Im on this website, and first time I am posting, so sorry in advance if I did something wrong by posting here in correctly. My concern: For a few weeks ago, I pressured my most distal rib pretty hard from the outside to inside. Why? Well other than the fact that I am the biggest m***n on planet Earth, I heard one time in a crash course of CPR that you can actually break your ribs by trying to perform CPR. I thought it was so weird and interesting at the same time, and I decided, one day, when I was very bored to "just for fun" bend my lowest rib or just pressure it. It wasn't even something I paid very much attention to, but I did it once for some seconds to try it out. I didn't feel the LEAST pain. So after some time (maybe days) I started feeling a diffuse, constant pain in the area around the left side of my body (around the lowest rib, but it's hard to locate the pain exactly, but around that area). I suspect that it has something to do with what I did on the lowest rib. It hurts a lot when I inspire, so I suspect that I hurt my inspiration muscles, and didn't actually break the bone (would probably require that I did something more serious on the rib than just "trying to push it"...). It also hurts a lot when I bend into a certain position. As of my knowledge, the muscles in this area need to heal - and that requires some weeks, maybe even a month. What do you think I should do? Contact the doctor? Is something wrong with the BONE, or is it really just the muscles that took the consequences of my actions? I'm panicking a little bit.
Also: I know. I know. I am an id**t, no need tell me that twice... Thanks in advance.... RIP.. or should I say RIB...
P.S: I am European so I apologize if there are linguistic mistakes.
Best regards
Martin
