After ejaculating, I found parts of my sperm to be charcoal grey/black in colour. Not all of it but enough for it to cause me concern. Any ideas what could have caused this? Definitely not STD and never had this problem before. No pain just a discolouration of the semen. It got me so concerned that I felt the need to ejaculate again approx 30 mins later and found no discolour on that occasion. I would appreciate any diagnosis please. I am 40 years old. Thanks

Although most guys ejaculate white semen, semen could be gray as well or turn yellow from time to time. That should not be a problem. A problem may be brown, pink or red parts in semen which would be indicating some kind of bleeding.
While bleeding could be harmless like burst blood vessel that is self limited and heals quickly, blood in the semen could be indicating an infection, or problems with the prostate.
If the gray particles appear again, you may make an appointment with an urologist and have this checked, just to be on the safe side.
