I started up my new months birth control pack after my period and I had sex with my ex on this day - heat of the moment, big mistake. I discontinued using my birth control only after four days into the new pack/four days after the intercourse. Is it a possibility that the sperm from that night get me pregnant even though I was on birth control at the time despite discontinuing the pill a few days later?

For how long have you been on the pill? Basically, you should be protected even after two weeks after you start taking them, for the first time I mean, so chances are very high that you were not ovulating so you couldn't have gotten pregnant. And also, you probably know that yourself, it takes time to regain fertility when you stop taking the pill. That is because pills from the last month stopped your ovulation and besides, sperm can only live for about day or so.
