I am having problems with irregular defecation. I am 35 years old and ever since I got a desk job, I gained some extra weight and constipation also came. I do not have much time for exercises; I know that would help me a lot. Anyway, I need to know do fibers improve intestinal motility? Maybe that would help me in some way.

Actually, that is a good choice. Fibers do help with the motility because they absorb water molecules which make them bigger and that make the intestinal volume wider. So all this makes the content in the intestines flow much easier. Of course, there is a possibility that you have some undiscovered condition and that constipation is just a symptom of that illness.
