I had an sleeve gastrectomy surgery so my eating capacity is very limited right now. Because of my old eating habits I want to eat more even when I feel full. But if I do it can results in terrible stomach aches and vomitting. I never did chew and spit thing before but now I do occasionally. I want to know if this is ok? I want to lose weight very much it was my goal all along and I suffered the hard conditions of this surgery, but if I keep forcing my stomach by eating more than its capacity everything I went through will be for nothing please give me an answe considering my situation; is it ok for me to chew and spit sometimes ( I do not chew and spit all my food I start doing it when I feel full)

Same here. Always before bed. Even when im full i need to get up and do it. I drink 600ml of lactose free with porridge and chocolate. I then chew it and take in the milk.

I wouldnt even start to do it. I think alot of cascading things go off and cause fat storage with chew and spit. Personally i couldnt eat the food, im full. I like the feeling of chew/spit although i know its wrong and im quite flabby around the belly and chest. I fast all day and eat 1 meal which soesnt wirk either.

This is my exact situation. I've been following a strict low carb diet and have been at it for a couple of months now with great success, but someone left a bowl of sour cream and onion chips at work tonight and I just c&s the whole damn thing...hence why I'm now googling around to see if that was actually an effective way to cave in without undoing a lot of hard work x_x definitely not something I want to make a habit of, in any case

I'm not sure if you are religious or what you beileve but I honestly just prayed to god to help me through this and just made a promise that I would never do it again. Sounds simple but somehow it worked. I had been doing this for years. I'm much happier without it. Best of luck in your journey. I know it can take over your life. Also, when I really want to eat when I'm not actually hungry for a meal, I just snack on low calorie food like plain popcorn. Seems to help. And try to feed yourself what your body really needs, may help a bit too. Prayer was big for me

SOO I have struggled with anorexia type behaviours for the past 15 years or so. I have been chewing and spitting for 8. GOD what a habit to get into. It seems to easy and inconsequential to start. A little exciting like you get to indulge in all the delicious tastes that were once restricted. I lost a bit of weight in the beginning but over the years have gained weight because of it. I have spend though sands of dollars on food, thousands of dollars on dental work because of it, and millions of hours of time isolating myself to indulge in this behaviour. If you are in the beginning stages of this, STOP while you can because it WILL spiral out of control. I have tried MANY times to stop but the temptation has always been too great. This year, this is now my third time actually stopping the behaviour for a significant amount of time and I do feel determined to do my best to heal from it. My approach is self-love. Listening to my body. INDULGING in whatever food I want. That being said, each time I have stopped doing this, I have lost a significant amount to weight, holding true to the FACT that it DOES make you gain weight, and like any good girl with an eating disorder I was VERY careful not to swallow the food and spit it all out, so if you are looking to lose weight through this behaviour, you are heading in the wrong direction. I take time to do things the tI like to do that I didn't have time to before because I was too busy c&s. I write down notes to remind myself of why I want to stop: to regain my freedom, to have more fun, to smile with confidence, etc. I also keep track of how many days I go without doing so and in the beginning, ONE whole day was amazing for me so I do something for myself. Take that money and buy myself something that makes ME happy. I also try to distinguish between my self and the eating disorder: is it ME that feels like c&s or my eating disorder telling me that's what I want. BE STRONG. LOVE YOURSELVES. Be good to yourself. ALSO I found it really important to make sure I was eating a balanced diet when trying to stop to ensure my craving for the processed sugar diminished. I also got a lot of hard candies etc. to help me through and again with all the extra eating and swallowing, I can't seem to keep weight on. GOOD LUCK! My love and best wishes for you all.

It works , I keep my weight @ 100lbs. Those who are gaining weight are not doing it right - if you don't actually swallow the food you can't gain weight, if there gaining weight it cause there actually swallowing the calories - I'm not saying it's not weird or gross , but it does work if done right.

Can you give some advice on not swallowing the food? Sometimes the bite I take is so tasty and I forget I need to spit it out. :/
