Yes Suboxone shows up now. They test for both buprenorphine and its metabolite Norbuprenorphine at >5 ug. (Billionth Gram) I know because I tested Pos. after (Seriously) 4 Months and I had threw mine out!! (No chance of Cross Contamination)  The Company -Reckitt Benckise- Just Got raided by the FEDS and I believe it was for misreping the drug. This drug is dangerous, and I fear it is My liver that failed to matabilize it. I was on it for Pain Managment and when I went to back to Vicadin 10/325 (did not help) then to percecet10/325 I started to slowley get pain relief. I thought it raised my tollerance, but the meds worked better and better, it was the suboxone blocking it for nearley three months! I tested Pos. for 6 ug after 4.5 months (LC/MC/MC) Either the test was wrong (doubtful) or I am Lying (I wish, seriously) or this %#$^ stayed in my system for that long!! I wish I could tell Doc that I took it not knowing any better cause then he would at least have some respect for me.

Notice the Half life is wrong. It is Companies like this that are supposed to be experts that have our lives in their hands!!!!!

Amen. It saved my life w/out a doubt. I was taking over 500 mg/day of codone/cotin (thanks to many factors going on in my life and a very irresponsible pain mngmt. doc who has since lost his license.) I would never have been able to get off of that w/out the help of Subox. I would be dead right now if not for it. I, in no way, shape or form consider myself clean because I am taking subox., but it is a fact that it saved my life. Also, it is NOT an opiate, it does NOT show up on standard testing. It only shows up if they specifically are looking for it or on a test where they test for EVERYTHING (and I mean everything! Probably 40-50 different things, where they can actually tell the difference btween Klonopin & Xanax, or they can zero in on which kind of opiate is in your system, i.e. heroin, codone & contin for example) My advice is to quit whtevr opiate you are on and go on subox. There is no happy ending taking opiates. Your tolerance get higher and higher and you have to take more and more. I got to the point where is was taking 4 to 5 30's just to keep from being sick. You CAN NOT live very long doing that. Please take my advice and find a subox. doctor. I know this is off the topic but if it gets through to one person than it is worth it. Reply to this if you want more advice or you want to hear a pretty amazing true story of what opiate addiction can do to a life... God Bless!!!

The same thing drives me crazy to this day, the MYTH that it is an opiate is still going around to this day. IT IS NOT AN OPIATE and will NOT show up as an opiate on a test...

after 3-4 years you should try stopping altogether. I was on suboxone for a heavy roxy addiction. I did the strips for a little less than a year. Slowly ween yourself down. It can be done and I wish you the best of luck! 3-4 years of suboxone is still considered clean-time in my book, that is an accomplishment! good luck

I just got done taking a 10 panel drug test yes it showed up, I've been on saboxine for two weeks cuz I reliezed there is a better life out there for me and wanted to stop doing drugs. Pain pills is not worth losing everything. So the answer to all of those questions is yes it will show up. And also will show your levels. My advise is not to start out like I have and hit the street to help you really go and get help. Admit it to yourself that you have a problem and don't shoot it or abuse it at all. Take it as directed by your doctor. Thanks

Suboxone (subutex/naloxone combination) does have a ceiling effect. At a certain point, an individual simply does not get high, which does help prevent overdose. Suboxone is designed to be taken sub-lingually (under the tongue). The subutex gets absorbed faster this way. However, if injected, the naloxone is immediately activated, and more quickly absorbed than the subutex. This causes rapid withdrawal. You cannot get high shooting suboxone. This is the reason it is not injected by most individuals. I'm sorry about your son. He may have had opiates in his system at the time of death, but suboxone is not an opiate or opioid.

This was in response to someone who stated that their son died from an overdose, that suboxone is an opiate because the toxicology report from their sons death showed opiates in his system at the time of death. New the panel. Meant to answer that post.

You can't "shoot" suboxone or die from it, it has naloxone in it to prevent people from injecting it, or getting high from it. It's also got a ceiling effect which means that no matter how much you take you can't get high from it...unlike opiates. It DOES NOT show up on a regular drug test, a five or a nine panel, but it may on a ten panel, the test has to be specific for subs and ten panels are.
